The Weld County Republican Central Committee on Sept. 18 cut a check for $5,000 to Windsor-based 501(c)4 nonprofit NOCO Reboot “for candidate advertising for (the) District 6 school board election,” according to documents filed with the Colorado Secretary of State.

The donation joins a $1,000 contribution from anti-mask crusader Angelika Weiss as the only funds NOCO Reboot has received this year. And a few days after those donations arrived, the nonprofit group began spending on banners, postcards and a downtown Greeley billboard to support far-right D6 school board candidates Stacey Casteel, Ashlee Tilley and Scott Rankin.

Note: The Gadfly has heard that Rankin has dropped out of the race for school board. However, his name will still appear on the ballot.

NOCO Reboot operates as an independent expenditure committee in Colorado, according to state records, and IECs are forbidden from coordinating with political parties.
