Greeley to end enforcement of U+1 home occupancy limit
New law signed by governor takes effect July 1
Greeley will no longer enforce its U+1 occupancy limits on housing within the city beginning July 1, a city staffer confirmed to the Gadfly today.
Currently, homes zoned Residential - Low Density allow families to house an additional one unrelated person. The Planning Commission considered raising that number to two unrelated people this past year, but the effort collapsed. The current standard was put in place back in 1980, a city planner told The NoCo Optimist.
